The Craft
This saree’s floral print is created through traditional Bagh block printing, a Madhya Pradesh craft using hand-carved wooden blocks, natural mineral dyes, and river water to press pattern into cloth, a process unchanged for generations. Each motif, along with the paisley border detailing, is stamped by hand, one impression at a time, giving the print its warm, slightly irregular character. The zari border is woven into the fabric during production, adding durability rather than a surface shine. Set on a base of plant-derived banana silk, the fabric stays breathable and biodegradable, keeping you comfortable through a long, festive day.
