Returns & Damage — Our Honest Policy

INTRO

We’ll be upfront with you: because our sarees are handwoven in small batches by artisans — not mass-produced in a factory — we are not able to offer returns or exchanges for change of mind, fit preferences, or colour expectations.

We know that’s not what every customer wants to hear. But it’s the honest reality of selling limited, handmade pieces — and we’d rather tell you clearly than bury it in fine print.

Here’s exactly where we stand.

What We’re Unable to Accept Back

  • Change of mind after purchase
  • Colour appearing slightly different on screen versus real life (we photograph in natural light but screens vary — always feel free to ask us for additional photos before ordering)
  • Minor natural variations in weave, texture, or motif placement — these are inherent to handloom and a mark of authenticity, not a defect
  • Sarees that have been worn, washed, or altered in any way

Our best advice: If you’re unsure about a piece — the colour, the weight, the drape — please message us before you buy. We will share detailed photographs, describe the fabric hand, and help you make a decision you’re confident about. That conversation costs nothing and saves everyone time.

When We Will Always Make It Right

If your saree arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from what was shown and described, we will make it right. No arguments, no runaround.

Here’s what to do:

  1. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery — via WhatsApp at +91 79822 23970
  2. Send us a short video or clear photographs of the damage or defect
  3. We’ll assess and respond within 24 hours with a resolution — replacement, store credit, or refund depending on availability and circumstance

We take our craft seriously. A damaged saree reaching you is not something we take lightly, and we will do right by you.

A Word About Handmade

Every Woh Chali saree carries the fingerprints of the person who made it. Slight variations in weave density, minor irregularities in motif placement, and small differences in border width from one end to the other — these are not flaws. They are the evidence of a human hand. They are what make your piece yours and no one else’s.

If you’re new to handloom, we’d love to walk you through what to expect before you order. Just reach out.

Questions Before You Buy? Please Ask.

We'd rather spend ten minutes helping you find the right saree than have either of us disappointed after the fact.
